PASCO, Wash. — A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 395 and Crestloch Road left one motorist hospitalized Wednesday morning, Washington State Patrol officials said.
What happened
Troopers were dispatched at about 11:40 a.m. on July 15 after reports of a crash involving a northbound Tesla and a white pickup truck. Investigators found that the Tesla struck the pickup on the driver’s side as the truck turned left from Crestloch Road onto Highway 395. Both vehicles came to rest in the highway median.
Injuries and investigation
The driver of the Tesla suffered injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The pickup’s driver did not have significant injuries, according to the Washington State Patrol. Troopers told reporters the investigation is ongoing but that preliminary findings indicate the pickup driver likely failed to yield to traffic on Highway 395. Law enforcement also said there is no indication that drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
