Tampa visitors and residents can sample a lineup of presidentially themed beverages across two downtown hotels this summer and early fall.
What changes for residents and visitors
The Tampa Marriott Water Street Collection — comprised of the JW Marriott Tampa Water Street and the Tampa Marriott Water Street — is offering an Executive Tour-style passport that lets guests try six cocktails inspired by U.S. presidents. Participants pick up a complimentary Presidential Pour Passport, collect a custom stamp for each cocktail they order and may redeem a completed passport at the front desk for a special reward.
How it works
- Pick up a free passport at either hotel's front desk.
- Order each presidential cocktail at the specified outlet and receive a custom stamp.
- Turn in a fully stamped passport at the front desk to claim a reward.
The initiative runs through Sept. 7, giving locals and out-of-town guests several weeks to visit multiple venues within the hotel collection.
"The experience runs through September 7."
Drinks and where to find them
The collection includes six drinks, each created to reflect a different president's perceived personality or legacy. Hotels list each cocktail with its corresponding venue:
| President | Cocktail | Venue |
|---|---|---|
| George Washington | Ashes of '76 (spirit-forward, stout base with a veil of smoke) | Beacon |
| Andrew Jackson | Citrus Command '27 (clarified Japanese whisky punch with citrus and lemongrass) | Driftlight Steakhouse |
| Abraham Lincoln | The Lincoln Margarita (añejo tequila with warm spice and bright citrus) | Lona |
| Theodore Roosevelt | The Roosevelt "Teddy" (warm, spiced tequila balanced with bright citrus) | Anchor & Brine |
| Dwight D. Eisenhower | The '1953 (fresh drip coffee paired with a warm apple pastry) | Perk |
| Ronald Reagan | Reagan's Ranch Water (a bright, refreshing Ranch Water) | Pool Bar |
Local context and considerations
The package is aimed at guests of the two hotels and downtown visitors who frequent Water Street's dining and bar scene. The program encourages movement between multiple outlets inside the hotel collection, which may be of interest to locals seeking a curated bar crawl without leaving the property.
Details, including menu descriptions and the reward for a completed passport, are provided through the hotels' event listings and front desk staff. The hotels have promoted the experience online through their event pages.
Residents should note the program's end date of Sept. 7 if they plan to participate. For more information and to confirm hours or availability, guests are advised to contact the JW Marriott Tampa Water Street or the Tampa Marriott Water Street directly or check the hotels' official event listings.
