ABILENE — Veteran radio personality Brad Elliott has returned to the local airwaves, joining Community Broadcast Partners' country station KABW-FM (95.1 The Wolf) in Abilene.
Local roots, regional experience
Elliott is well known to Big Country listeners after spending a large portion of his career in the Abilene market. His résumé includes prior work at crosstown Townsquare Media classic-hits outlet KULL (100.7 Kool FM) as well as on-air stops in Amarillo, Kansas City and New Mexico. Community Broadcast Partners President David Klement welcomed Elliott as a return to local radio leadership.
“We're excited to welcome Brad to the Community Broadcast Partners family,” David Klement said. “Brad has earned the respect of listeners and advertisers throughout his career, and his deep roots in Abilene make him a natural fit for 95.1 The Wolf.”
Elliott expressed appreciation for the opportunity to reconnect with Abilene listeners. “I’m honored to join the team at 95.1 The Wolf. Abilene has always been home,” he said, adding he looks forward to getting back behind the microphone and working with a station focused on country music and community service.
What this means for listeners and advertisers
- Listeners: A familiar on-air voice may bring established audience loyalty and local programming continuity to 95.1.
- Advertisers: Station leadership cited Elliott’s established relationships with local advertisers as a strategic asset for building sponsorship and promotional partnerships across Big Country.
- Market competition: The hire represents a programming move in a small but active Abilene radio market where stations compete for local listeners and ad dollars.
Community Broadcast Partners operates KABW-FM as a country-formatted outlet serving Abilene and surrounding areas. The company said it expects Elliott to be “a tremendous asset” to both the station and the communities it serves.

For Abilene — where local radio remains a key source of music, news and advertising reach — the addition of a longtime regional broadcaster underscores the ongoing value radio stations place on recognizable personalities to sustain audience engagement in a crowded media landscape.
